2024 AGM INVITATION TO MEMBERS – 19th OCTOBER

The British Fencing Board formally invites members to the Annual General Meeting, which will be held at 11am on Saturday 19th October 2024 at the British Olympic Association, 101 New Cavendish St, London W1W 6XH. Members are also able to attend online. Members should register attendance by 11am on 17th October 2024. 

 

Dear Member,

On behalf of the British Fencing Board, I invite you to the Annual General Meeting of British Fencing Association Limited to be held at 11am on Saturday 19th October 2024 at the British Olympic Association (TeamGB), 101 New Cavendish St, London W1W 6XH. Members will also be able to attend online.

At this meeting your Board will invite you to:

  1. Receive the accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2024
  2. Approve the appointment of Independent Director Sara Pantuliano for a 4 year term
  3. Approve the appointment of Independent Director Alex O’Connell for a 4 year term
  4. Note the election of the following Directors who will join the Board as a Elected Directors: Pat Aiyenuro (for a 2nd term) and Thomas Nippress (for a 1st term).

The Annual Report and Accounts will be published here on our website when available.

John Troiano, in his capacity as Interim Chair of the Board’s subcommittee for Audit, Governance & Risk, will take members through the accounts and finances and respond to your questions.

Questions should be submitted in advance using the registration form here.

The formal notice of the Meeting and resolutions to be proposed will also be set out here. If you wish to attend the AGM please complete the registration form here by 11am on 17th October 2024 and you will be sent a link and access details nearer the time.

If you would like to vote on the resolution but cannot attend the meeting, you can appoint another person as your proxy to exercise all or any of your rights to attend, vote and speak at the Meeting but you must complete the proxy form (attached to the registration form here).

Note 1: If you wish to attend the AGM online please complete the registration form here by 11am on 17th October 2024  and you will be sent a link to join the meeting by 3pm on the 18th October.

Note 2: If you wish to attend the AGM in person please complete the registration form here by 11am on 17th October 2024. The list of in person attendees will be provided to the front desk and you will be required to check-in on arrival. Please do not turn up unannounced as you will not be granted access to the building.
