Men’s Sabre World Class Programme – Performance Foundations

Please note that there will be a Men’s Sabre Camp at the British Fencing Elite Training Centre, Leon Paul from 25-27 October 2016 between 10.00am-4.00pm.

Cyril Tahon, the new WCP Sabre Coach who has the responsibility for the development of the Talent Pathway for Men’s Sabre, will be leading the Camp.  The objective of the camp is twofold:

1 – To identify athletes for future junior selection who are relying on a discretionary place

2 – Fencing Development

The performance and development at this training camp and across future junior international competitions, will provide an opportunity for athletes to be identified for and enrolled on the Performance Foundations Programme.

The following groups of athletes have been invited to this camp.  Please note that the selections were made before the competition in Stratford this weekend and therefore the rankings prior to this competition were used in determining which athletes would be invited.

  • Top 10 juniors in the junior ranking list
  • Top six cadets in the cadet ranking list
  • Athletes already selected for the first two junior international competitions

All athletes in the categories above should have received an email from Geoff Marshall inviting them to the Camp.  If you are in one of these categories and have not received an email, then please contact Geoff Marshall  [email protected] so that he can send you a formal invite.
