ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION AVAILABLE FOR ALL BF MEMBERS

Recognising the risks and taking action.

To help support fencers to compete clean, understand their rights and responsibilities, and recognise the risks, we are now putting on a series of sessions designed for all competitive fencers. These will be delivered over Zoom and will last for 90 minutes. Please note that spaces are limited and we will close the registration as soon as the session is full.

The next session will be on the 16th May 2024, at 18:00.

We recommend all athlete support personnel –  including parents, coaches, S&C coaches, and any other sports science experts – complete one of the online courses developed by UK Anti Doping. These are essential for anyone travelling internationally with fencers representing Great Britain.

The courses are called Coach Clean and Introduction to Clean Sport. They are available to all on the UKAD Clean Sport Hub here:  https://www.ukad.org.uk/aboutcleansporthub

For competitive fencers, we strongly recommend the online course called Compete Clean+ , also on the UKAD Clean Sport Hub.

In addition, please also watch the session delivered by the International Testing Agency on behalf of the FIE. Recordings of these webinars are available: here

There is also an athlete education programme on the WADA ADEL web site available: here
