British National Championships Qualifiers
Qualifiers 12-13th November - Finals 10th December- Team 11th December
The 2011 British National Championships will be a two stage event with a qualifying competition being held over the weekend of 12-13 November and culminating in Finals and a Grand Gala Dinner on Saturday 10th December. There will be 36 places in each Final.
Access to the Final will only be through the qualification stage, which will be open to all fencers aged at least 13 on 1st January 2012. A single entry fee will cover both stages. Fencers in the top 20 of the national rankings for each weapon as at 1st October 2011 who wish to take part in the Finals will be required to enter the qualification stage and those who do will be given a bye into the Final event.
Entries will close at 5 pm Monday 31st October. Late entries will be accepted up to 5pm on Monday 7th November but will be charged double the original rate. Both deadlines will be strictly implemented and in each case entry must be accompanied by payment. The definitive list of those fencers who will get a bye into the finals will be published on the BF web site on Tuesday 8th November.
The National Finals for Wheelchair Fencing will feature at the event on 10th December and the British National Team Competition will be held on 11th December 2011. Details of these will be available later.
