British Fencing Championships 2017

22nd/23rd April 2017

SportsDock, University of East London, Docklands Campus, E16 2RD

Entry information is available here

Any athlete wishing to be selected for Great Britain at FIE (including Satellites) or EFC competitions must compete in the National Championships in the relevant category - Cadet, Junior or Senior. This mean that if you intend to represent GB at International Senior Level you are required to fence at the British Fencing Championships 2017. Only in expeceptional circumstances will an exemption be granted, which must be sought in advance and received in the form of written approval via British Fencing Head Office. For further information please see here.

Entries are being accepted via Sport80 here.

Fencers representing GB in the U23 European Championships will be automatically exempt from the requirement to compete at the Senior National Championships 2017 to be eligible to represent GB in FIE and EFC competitions. There will be no related adjustment to ranking schemes and selectors will be informed of the clash.

Hotels: Please note that there is a demand for hotels in the local area over this weekend and we recommending booking as soon as possibile. A list of hotels close to the venue can be found here.

Spectator tickets are available for the L8 and Gala Finals on both days. Tickets will be available to buy at the venue on the day for £5 per person. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support disadvantaged young fencers competing in the UK.
