Report from Udine & Budapest 

Junior Men’s Epee World Cup – Udine

Twelve British fencers lined up in a field of one hundred and eighty-eight in Udine at the weekend.  Matthew Cooper, Matthew Dickinson and William East achieved the best results by making the round of 64.

Junior Women’s Epee World Cup – Udine

Yasmin Al-Wagga was Britain’s only entry in a field of one hundred and forty-seven in the women’s event but was cut after the poules stages having won one fight from six.

Junior Men’s Foil World Cup – Udine

There were twelve British entries amongst a field of one hundred and sixty-seven in Italy at the weekend.  Harry Bird was the highest ranked at the end, making the top 64.

Junior Women’s Foil World Cup – Udine

There were twelve entries from Great Britain who lined up in a field of one hundred and thirty-three.  Madeleine Brown, Yasmin Campbell, Isabella Gill and Mhairi McLaughlin achieved the best results by making the round of 64.

Junior Men’s Sabre World Cup – Budapest

Nine British fencers took part in this event amongst a field of one hundred and seventy-five.  James Edwards came away with the best results making the quarterfinals and placing fifth.

Junior Women’s Sabre World Cup – Budapest

Eight British fencers lined up for the women’s individual event in a field of one hundred and forty-seven.  Maria Chart and Caitlin Maxwell achieved the best results by making the round of 16.
