With two nominations received for the post of Board Director, Pat Aiyenuro and Thomas Nippress have been deemed elected to the Board to take office from the next AGM in October.
Following the recent Board Election Announcement for the election of two Directors, only two nominations for the post of Director were received by BF. Therefore there is no requirement for an election.
In accordance with Bye Law VI.6(a) & (b), therefore, Pat Aiyenuro and Thomas Nippress have been deemed elected to the Board with effect from Friday 19th July, but will actually take office from the conclusion of the next AGM, which is currently expected to be held on the 19th October 2024.
Pat rejoins the Board for a second term whilst Thomas joins the Board for his first term.
Speaking about his election, Thomas said, “I am looking forward to working with the Board to continue to support and develop this amazing sport and community”
Pat added, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue to work in fencing as part of the Board, serving the sport and the members from grass roots clubs to international representation.”
The BF Board would like to congratulate the newly Elected Directors and also thank the BF Electoral Officer, Teddy Bourne for guiding the election process in accordance with the Bye-Laws.
