COACH REQUIRED: CRAWLEY SWORD CLUB

Crawley Sword Club is looking for a level 2 foil/epee coach who can help the club competitively.

 

Venue: Based at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley which is easily accessible from Sussex, Surrey, and Kent due to its proximity to the M23. Crawley Sword Club, K2 Leisure Centre, Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley, RH11 9BQ

Times: Mondays from 7pm-9.30pm and or Wednesday from 7pm-9.30pm.

Crawley Sword Club welcomes fencers of all abilities, from beginners through to international level. They are looking for a coach who can help competitively, as well as to continue a flow of beginner-novice fencers.

Work Experience:

  • Experience of coaching, at least at an intermediate level.
  • Experience of developing athletes and long-term athlete development plans.

Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of coaching styles and practical delivery.
  • An understanding of Long-Term Athlete Development.
  • Good at engaging and manage a variety of age groups, from under 18s to veterans.
  • Ability to encourage and develop a wide variety of abilities, from beginners to international fencers.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Crawley Sword Club is three weapon club, but are particularly looking for someone who is experienced in foil and/or epee. They welcome anyone with a level 2 coaching qualification (minimum) to apply.

Salary: £35.00/hour (subject to change).
