ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION AVAILABLE FOR NATIONAL-LEVEL ATHLETES

Athlete Education Workshop – Toolkit. 7th Nov 18:00

NEW – Athlete Education Workshop – Toolkit
As part of a three-part series of workshops to support NGBs and ensure that mandatory education needs are met, we will be offering UKAD-funded online education workshops for athletes. The workshop is now open to any eligible athletes and will cover the tools an athlete can use:

  • Checking medications
  • Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs)
  • Food first and Supplements
  • Protect Your Sport

Any athlete attending any of the UKAD athlete workshops is advised to complete the UKAD Compete Clean + eLearning (available on the Clean Sport Hub). Attending all three of the series of workshops will cover all the mandatory topics of anti-doping education. Eligible athletes must be currently competing at a minimum of National Level (click for a definition of this).

  • 7 November 2024 (18:00-19:30) – Athletes can register to attend the session here

As these sessions are interactive, they will not be recorded. However, additional workshops will be available at a later date.

We recommend all athlete support personnel –  including parents, coaches, S&C coaches, and any other sports science experts – complete one of the online courses developed by UK Anti Doping. These are essential for anyone travelling internationally with fencers representing Great Britain.

The courses are called Coach Clean and Introduction to Clean Sport. They are available to all on the UKAD Clean Sport Hub here:  https://www.ukad.org.uk/aboutcleansporthub

For competitive fencers, we strongly recommend the online course called Compete Clean+ , also on the UKAD Clean Sport Hub.

In addition, please also watch the session delivered by the International Testing Agency on behalf of the FIE. Recordings of these webinars are available: here

There is also an athlete education programme on the WADA ADEL web site available: here
