SAFEGUARD COURSES UPDATE

All dates for the 2024 SafeGuard courses are fully booked.

Due to the high demand for the SafeGuard courses, all the dates are fully booked until December 2024. We are currently working on new dates for the 2025 calendar, and the full schedule will be released soon.

What is SafeGuard?

SafeGuard is BF’s new safeguarding training offer that was launched at the end of June 2023.

The choice to introduce this new offer was made to develop a training programme that works best for the sport, provides flexibility, and upskills the workforce while avoiding duplication.

SafeGuard Training for Workforce

SafeGuard includes three different types of training: Core, Welfare Officer Training, and Event Welfare Officer Training.

Each course has different learning outcomes, and, depending on their role in the fencing community, members whose previous certificates are about to expire are required to attend specific training in order to remain on the registers.

Core: For England and Welsh coaches, Team Managers, and Club and Event Welfare Officers.

Welfare Officer Training: Only for Club Welfare Officers in England and Wales

Event Welfare Officer Training: Only for Event Welfare Officers.
Please remember that additional requirements must be met to complete your registration.

BECOME A REGISTERED COACH – BRITISH FENCING

BECOME A WELFARE OFFICER – BRITISH FENCING

BECOME AN EVENT WELFARE OFFICER – BRITISH FENCING
