CLARIFICATION OF U14 EFC COMPETITION ENTRY PROCESS

Clarification for entering U14 EFC international competitions.

BF seeks to ensure that young fencers have sufficient competition experience, providing a developmental and positive international experience. Currently, U14 events do not have specific ranking requirements, and this category has no selection process. Instead, you must fill out this form to express your interest in participating in these events.

All Under 14 EFC competitions are considered nominated, thus they carry ranking points and can count towards selection for the U14 EFC Festival in May 2025.

Parents and coaches are advised to read the competition information (reglements) as there may be a requirement to source a referee for these events.

The current EFC referee quotas are:

• 1-3 fencers – no referee required
• 4-9 fencers – one referee
• 10-15 fencers – two referees
• 16-20 fencers – three referees

There may be fines for failing to provide the referee(s), depending on the organisers.
