Richard Kruse won the men’s foil World Cup in Cairo today, beating Italy’s Alessio Foconi 15-5 to secure the first title of the new season. In a repeat of last year’s Shanghai Grand Prix, Kruse dominated the gold medal match taking it early in the second period.
