A reminder that the British Fencing Honours Committee is now inviting British Fencing members to nominate individuals for British Fencing Honours. The process for so doing is now open and will close on 29 May 2020.
The Honours Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the British Fencing Board for British Fencing awards. Responsibility for recommendations for Queen’s or State Honours remains with British Fencing’s Nominations Committee.
This system focuses entirely on the membership with all nominations coming directly from members. The committee acts as selectors with the object of recommending awards in a wide range of categories, whilst ensuring the consistency of award levels and criteria. Nominations are considered in committee in June and announced at the British Fencing AGM in October.
British Fencing members aged 18 and over can make nominations to the Honours Committee. The composition of the Committee is published annually on the British Fencing website along with a list of previous successful nominees.
