A summary of measures outlined in Phase 1 and what it means for fencing activity in Scotland
The measures outlined in phase 1 include the amendment of current daily exercise guidelines to include certain outdoor sport and activities. With some augmentations Fencing can resume some activity outdoors.
This is not a return to our sport as we know it but an opportunity for people to use some outdoor non-contact sports as part of daily exercise activities but only within the guidelines.
The key points are –
Do not leave your home to take part in sport or physical activity if Scottish Government advice means you should stay at home because you or someone you live with has or has had symptoms of COVID-19, or you are in the most vulnerable category and have been advised to shield from the coronavirus.
