NEW COACH REGISTER IN JANUARY 2021: WHAT DOES A GOOD COACH PROFILE LOOK LIKE?

Read an analysis of what makes a good Coach Profile and get inspired ahead of the launch of the new Coach Register in January 2021

The legacy coach register system will be phased out by January 2021. Coaches must add a Coach CV to their Sport80 profile by then to appear on the new, online system.

Users navigating the new Coach Register will be able to learn more about BF registered coaches by looking at their individual Coach Profiles. Each coach will have a dedicated URL for their profile, which will be indexed by search engines, so coaches can be found by online searches.

Coaches are encouraged to use their online profiles to present themselves to the fencing community (and beyond) and give some insightful hints about who they are and how they coach. Being able to communicate coaching styles and philosophies clearly through the elements of a Coach Profile is essential if coaches want to make the best use of this tool.

Creating a Coach Profile is simple. Use your Sport80 account to write a Coach CV and upload some required documents. Find a ‘how to’ guide here.

To inspire registered coaches and point out what makes for a good Coach Profile, we analysed our newly elected board member and Performance coach James Williams’ Coach Profile. Find out how to make the best use of the text fields, contact details, profile picture and more in the information page here.
