The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund aims to use sport and physical activity as a means of bringing a community together and tackling inequalities via awards of between £300 and £10,000 from a pot of £5 million of National Lottery funding. Clubs are encouraged to contact BF should they require assistance with applications.
Sport England want to mark and help celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year by supporting projects that bring a community together and provide opportunities for people who may be less physically active.
Organisations are being asked to consider how they could work more collaboratively across their community, in order to make the biggest possible impact and projects working with people in disadvantaged communities will be given priority.
Recognising the pandemic may still be affecting the delivery of projects, either in how they’re delivered or how much they cost to deliver, applicants should consider any such additional cost or delivery changes to ensure they can achieve their aims.
Funds are available for project costs such as facility hire and coaching, as well as for small capital improvements.
