NEW #BFLearningWeek EVENT: COACHING DEVELOPER REFRESHER

About the Session

This session is an opportunity for existing coach developers to ‘sharpen their sword’ and re-visit the principles and elements of good coach development work including questioning and listening skills, priceless principles, and review.

 

Invitation to:

This online seminar aims to support those in roles of coach developers and to help to understand the key aspects of their work (see below).

 

Seminar Aims:

  • Revisit the elements of good coaching development work.
  • Enhance questioning and listening skills.
  • Review and reflect on the core coaching principles raised in the seminar.

 

About Dusty Miller

Dusty is the Head of People and Culture at British Fencing. Before joining BF,  Dusty served in the Royal Navy for 27 years in a variety of environments. His role was to ensure that human performance and connectedness was at the heart of operational activities. Upon leaving the Royal Navy he joined the Rugby Football Union Community Department and held a number of roles including Club Development in Oxfordshire and coordinating training for coaches, match officials and volunteers primarily in the South West. He also supported national programmes such as the Leadership Academy and Level 3 & 4 Coach development programmes.

 

About BF Learning Week

#BFLearningWeek 2022 will explore many aspects of our exciting sport, with experts in coaching, sports psychology and performance joining guest speakers and the BF team to give insight into our fencing world and its future.

The week takes place between 22nd and 29th August with a series of online events.
