British Fencing is delighted to announce the appointment of Gabby Williams to the post of Development Director.
Gabby comes to fencing from London Sport where she delivered highly successful and innovative sports participation programmes. Throughout her career she has proven capabilities in working across organisations, setting strategic direction, securing funding and ultimately delivering measurable results.
Her appointment follows a rigorous recruitment process, with the involvement and support of England Fencing and Sport England. She will be starting with British Fencing on 11th August.
Speaking about her appointment, Gabby said; “I am very pleased to be joining British Fencing, bringing some fresh and new ideas with me. The aim is to ultimately increase the number of people taking part in fencing through appropriate and attractive experiences that meet the needs of anyone who wishes to join in and be active. I am excited about the challenges ahead. By working with the existing fencing family to draw on their valuable fencing knowledge, whilst equally exploring new and innovative opportunities with different partners, I am confident that together we can demonstrate a sustainable future for local community fencing.”
