SPORT:80 CLUB UPDATE – ACCESSIBILITY

Coaches and club administrators, there has been an update to the club membership details to include venue accessibility. Please update your details accordingly.

We have recently updated the club membership information on Sport:80 to include details on venue accessibility, wheelchair fencing equipment, and disability inclusive training sessions. The tick box options are available under a new accessibility tab on your membership details panel – see image below.

The accessibility tab on the club membership details page of our Spor80's website.

We would appreciate clubs updating their details to confirm their accessibility, equipment status, and whether they run specific disability-inclusive sessions. This will help us signpost new members who need wheelchair access and are looking for support with their seated fencing activities to the right places.

Currently, we post details of clubs which are wheelchair accessible via a subsidiary page to our Activity Finder here. We are hopeful that with better information placed on Sport:80, we can communicate with our Activity Finder managers and integrate the accessible clubs’ information within one system.

If you want to find out more information on how to make your club inclusive of disabled people and what it means to be an accessible venue, please review our Disability Inclusion Zone or contact our Inclusion Officer using this form.
