My Coaching Philosophy
As a qualified teacher working in school, I introduced fencing as an after school activity and involved pupils in county competitions. More recently in conjunction with the local schools sports partnership I have run short courses in local schools to provide opportunities for youngsters to try fencing. Some find participation in large team activities challenging but have responded positively to fencing. My aim is to encourage interest in the sport whilst teaching basic skills providing a sound basis for those who would wish to join a club and develop further. I am available for after school clubs and small groups.
