BF is mindful of the rising costs of attending fencing events and the potential barrier to participation this creates for some members of our community.
The Entry Fee Support Scheme offers a limited number of free entries to BF events. Places are offered based on financial need, not on ability and covers 100% of the entry fee cost.
The Entry Fee Support Scheme is in place for the following BF Championship Events:
The Entry Fee Support Scheme has been constructed based on existing financial assistance schemes within the sporting sector, using means tested criteria to enable fencers from a lower-socioeconomic background entry to events.
Online application forms for each event are found on the event webpage.
The application closing dates for individual events are listed on the webpage.
Applications close two weeks before the event entry deadline to allow for entry after receiving the outcome of the application.
