The upcoming 4-day course starts on 4th March and qualifies coaches to deliver individual sessions specialised in a weapon of their choice.
Coaching Fencing Level 2 is the course that prepares coaches to work in the Development space, where fencers that have built the foundations gain confidence to progress in their fencer journey. They require sessions with more technical and tactical content, with a weapon-specific focus. The coach’s development must accompany this move, and a CFL2 qualification enables them to provide what fencers need at this stage.
The next CFL2 course is scheduled for the 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th of March in Cardiff, conducted by Coach Developer Peter Russell. Whilst sometimes a course will be exclusive for a determined weapon, this time, all three will be taught simultaneously (each candidate will be trained in the weapon of their choice).
