Sport England publishes updated advice for alternative sources of funding.
If you are thinking of applying for funding directly from Sport England (see available funds here) the expectation is that you can demonstrate how you’ve already tried to raise money in other ways.
It’s very rare that Sport England will cover the entire cost of a project, so it’s essential you can contribute to the costs via other methods.
Having community backing and local partners supporting your project will also make the case for investment stronger.
