A reminder that nominations are open for the British Fencing Community Awards 2023-24 and a closer look at the Young Athlete of The Year award.
This week, we will be delving into the Young Athlete of the Year (U20) award and what criteria a nominee should meet.
The annual British Fencing Community Awards recognise the best of our clubs, coaches, fencers, and volunteers and their contribution to fencing. Due it being an Olympic and Paralympic year, this awards period will cover the 1st September 2023 to the 7th September 2024 to recognise this.
BF members (all membership types) can nominate members of the community via the online nomination form. From the nominations, a shortlist of nominees will be produced. An independent panel will then select the winners of the BF Awards 2023-24.
The Young Athlete of The Year (U20) award celebrates athletes who:
*A nominee for ‘Young Athlete of the Year (U20) 2023-24 must be aged 20 or below on 1st January 2024*
Mohammed Belbouab was voted Young Athlete of the Year for 2022-23.
