BF INTERNATIONAL CALENDAR UPDATES 2023-24

Following a review of the last few FIE Junior World Cup competitions in February 2024, the following changes are being implemented.

FIE JWC in Junior Women’s Foil and Sabre  competition in Tbilisi, Georgia on the 17/02/24 are changed from nominated competitions to a development competition.

The key factors that that were taken into consideration in this decision were:

• The travel journey (no direct flights) and time required to travel to Tbilisi.
• The dates of the competition 17th and 18th February and the proximity of the Junior Europeans in Naples starting on 26th February.
• Recent competitions in JME and JWE have had significant numbers of fencers decline and low acceptance rate.

The competitions have been changed on the BF Master Calendar.

Please note that changes may still occur – all calendars (FIE, EFC and BF) will be subject to change, and in some cases this may happen at very short notice due to circumstances outside of BF’s control.
