British Fencing Appoints Georgina Usher as Chief Executive Officer
British Fencing is delighted to announce the appointment of Georgina Usher as Chief Executive Officer.
Georgina Usher brings a wealth of experience to the role from over 30 years of involvement in fencing combined with a career in shaping and leading businesses. Her appointment follows a comprehensive and rigorous recruitment process, with the cooperation of our funding partners Sport England and UK Sport. She will be taking over from current CEO Peter King, on the completion of his contract, on April 1.
British Fencing Chairman David Teasdale said;
“Georgina Usher is a talented fencer with a passion for the sport who is well known, well liked and well respected throughout the fencing community. As a Board member she was centrally involved in developing our vision and 2024 goals. I am delighted that she has agreed to accept the role of CEO, to build on the important contribution that Peter King has made and take British Fencing forward on its “Green, Grow, Gold” strategy.”

I look forward to bringing together the passion and knowledge of the fencing community with the support and experience of our partners and sponsors to help us meet the challenges that lie ahead and create a vibrant future for the sport.
