Today, Friday 1st March, the ballot papers for the election and accompanying Candidates’ Statements are being sent out by email by the Electoral Reform Society (ERS). Below are a list of the candidates and copies of the Candidates’ Election Statements accompanying the ballot papers.
Important Note: as a result of a logistical problem at the ERS, the hard copy papers for postal voting will be sent out by Tuesday 5th March (rather than today). They will be sent out by first class post (ERS are bearing the additional cost of first class postage). In view of this, the Closing Date for return of postal votes has been extended to noon on Tuesday 26th March. The Closing Date for electronic voting remains at noon on Friday 22nd March.
