British Fencing is pleased to announce that it has up to 5 places available for athletes for the 2017 Sport England funded TASS award. Expressions of interest are welcomed from athletes holding a GB passport who are studying at an English institution and are eligible to represent England. Athletes should be ranked in the top 10 of the British Fencing Junior or Senior rankings (as of August 1st), have been selected to attend a nominated international junior/senior competition last season (2016-17) or already be on a Talent Programme and have been identified to move across to the TASS Programme.
Selection will be based on current ranking, recent results and commitment to development as an athlete. TASS awards should supplement any support already being received (via your University for example). Athletes in receipt of a Sports Aid award or on the British Fencing ASE programme are not eligible for a TASS award.
Expressions of interest should be returned to Stuart Haw, [email protected] as soon as possible.
Applications received after 22nd August will not be accepted.
