It is acceptable for to wear tracksuits over breaches (800N) and socks on the day as long as the pockets of the tracksuit bottoms are sewn shut.
Note added 24.03.23 – Chest Guards
It is compulsory for women to wear rigid chest protection. It is recommended that girls wear rigid
chest protection (shaped or flat) from the age of ten or from the onset of puberty if earlier
The FIE standard chest protectors (those covered with an FIE approved soft layer) for Foil are NOT required for this event.
The FIE standard chest protectors (those covered with an FIE approved soft layer) for foil introduced by the FIE in 2018 are only required for Men’s Foil and Women’s Foil Cadet, Junior, U23 and Senior BF Ranking events.
Note added 27.01.2023 – FIE rules m.25.7.f regarding masks with 2 rear safety systems are NOT Required for this event.
