British Fencing is pleased to announce that Chris Lennon has just been awarded his EFC C-grade for epee. This was awarded after being observed and scoring three “5’s” at three EFC nominated epee competitions the last two seasons and is a step towards sitting his second FIE exam, to become a dual weapon FIE referee and eventually be nominated for the EFC Master List and the FIE Grand Prix circuit.
Chris is an active member of the Referee Pathway Program and the Referee Working Group reviewing and establishing the new Level 3 referee assessment process. Not only he has regularly benefited from the referee seminars put on by British Fencing as part of this program, he has also been involved in delivering seminars as part of the referee development program.
On hearing the news Chris said “I am very happy and pleased to hear this news. I am extremely grateful for all the support provided by British Fencing and all the other other senior referees, both GBR and internationally.”
