We’re getting ready to launch Club Matters, the essential one-stop-shop for sports clubs. And you can help us trumpet its arrival on social media on the day of its launch.
Free and open to any club that wants support and information, Club Matters brings together all of Sport England’s existing support projects – Club Leaders, Clubmark and Help for Clubs – into one simple resource. It’s been carefully designed to give sports leaders what they want, in a simple, bitesize way.
No matter how big or how small your club, it’s a brilliant tool that is simple to use. Support includes online help such as finance and marketing guidance, e-learning courses and online toolkits.
For Joanne Robb, who founded Inspire Gymnastics Academy in Nottingham after London 2012, Club Matters is set to be an invaluable tool.
“There’s a big push for grassroots sport and sport for all that relies very heavily on volunteers and local clubs,” says Joanne. “If clubs don’t get it right and don’t give young people a good experience, it can potentially put them off. Hopefully this new package of support to clubs is going to help us be in a better position to give a quality experience.”
