In February 2019 the FIE issued a Clean Sport Notice which states “All fencers competing in FIE competitions are expected to be aware of the WADA rules and be able to comply with them fully”.
As part of BF’s commitment to support fencers to meet these expectations, any coach wishing to accompany a GBR athlete to an FIE event, whether as a personal coach or as a squad coach must have undergone the online anti-doping training course Coach Clean within the last three years.
Coaches accompanying U17s to EFC internationals, or coaching any competing athletes (whether in domestic or international competition) are strongly encouraged to undertake the training as part of their personal development.
