Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) in Cardiff
The ITCF course serves as an entry point for those interested in coaching fencing, focusing on the fundamentals of delivering beginner group sessions. This two-day course will take place on 10th-11th May 2025 at the Cardiff Academy of Fencing, with Fran Whalley as the instructor.

Coaching Fencing Level 2 (CFL2) Shrewsbury at PGL Boreatton Park
This course is designed for coaches transitioning to individual coaching sessions with specific weapons. The course will be conducted by three different specialists, each focusing on one weapon, allowing for up to twelve candidates per weapon. The instructors will be Jonathan Katz for foil, John Rees for epee and Graham Stretton for sabre.
In partnership with PGL, BF’s Official Have-A-Go Partner, BF will offer benefits for participants: our special offer bed and breakfast for £55 and one chosen meal at £10.
All participants are required to have a DBS certificate, regardless of whether they stay over at PGL. If you need to start your application for a DBS with us, please fill out this form. Please note that it can take up to 12 weeks for the process to be completed, so we encourage participants to start enrolling for one as soon as possible.
