Grant available to coaches affiliated in SE, new courses in Cardiff, SPC Stratford-upon-Avon booking form now live and more…
The Coach Education calendar has the following updates this week:
Coach education candidates can apply for a £100 grant to support participation in ITCF or CFL2 courses run between October 2021 and September 2022. There will be 12 grants awarded in the first instance.
Candidates must be affiliated to the South East region. All applications will be handled by South East Region : England Fencing and must be sent to [email protected].

A new Introduction to Coaching Fencing (Level 1, ITCF) course and a Coaching Fencing Level 2 (CFL2) have been added to the list of Upcoming Courses.
Both courses will be hosted by Cardiff Academy of Fencing on the following dates:
Scheduled for Tuesday 26th July, 6 – 9pm, this course is part of the West Midlands Coach Development Week. It will be offered alongside three coaching courses and is a mandatory requirement for registered coaches.
Please note you must be at least 18 years old to participate.

This course is open for members as well as non-members of BF (including coaches of different sports). Current BF members get a £5 discount on the booking fee.
This year’s Coach Development Week in Stratford-upon-Avon will take place again at King Edward VI School, between 25th and 30th July.
New and current coaches can sign up for the following courses:
This course is scheduled for the 30th and 31st of July 2022. The venue is still to be confirmed, and the booking form will be published after that.
You can leave details here to hear back from us as soon as the booking form has gone live.
As of writing, 10 out of 12 available spaces are already booked for ITCF Sevenoaks on 30th and 31st July.
Bookings are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and are confirmed after payment of the booking fee.
