COACH REQUIRED: WREXHAM FENCING CLUB

Wrexham Fencing Club are seeking a BF-registered sabre coach to join their growing club.

Wrexham Fencing Club are seeking a BF-registered sabre coach at level 2 (or working towards this, with club support available) to join their growing club.

Wrexham Fencing Club has a long history of introducing the sport of fencing to people of all ages across the North East Wales region, with many club fencers going on to compete at national and international levels for Wales and Great Britain across all ages.

Following the Covid pandemic the club relaunched as a sabre-only club and has been going from strength to strength – and as such they are seeking a new coach to support the ever-growing popularity of the club and fencing in the region.

Currently, the club has a a range of fencers, including competitive cadets (including International U17 level) and experienced seniors.

This role will focus mainly on working with their Cadet and U14 fencers and supporting the growth of fencing in the region.

The minimum hours would be 2/3 hours on one club night (with plans to open additional nights), however for interested candidates there are significant opportunities to expand this through work with local partners, individual lessons and wider community fencing initiatives.

Salary: £25.00/hour for club nights.

Wrexham Fencing Club would welcome enquiries from all interested parties as they seek to grow the reach, depth and strength of sabre fencing across the North Wales and borders area.

Please email [email protected] or visit their Facebook page to contact them for informal discussions surrounding the role.
