Please note:

Changes will occur at short notice – Please note that all calendars—FIE, EFC, and British Fencing (BF)—are subject to change. In some instances, adjustments may occur at very short notice due to factors beyond BF’s control, such as international scheduling conflicts, late publication of official information, or unforeseen logistical changes.

Nomination & selection timescales may be compressed. Selections for nominated international events are typically published eight weeks ahead of the competition date. However, British Fencing (BF) reserves the right to implement shorter notice periods in some instances. This may occur when essential details—such as official information (reglements), confirmation of event dates, or changes to the competition schedule—are delayed, revised, or impacted by cancellations and early replacements.

General Reminders for all EFC & FIE events:

Entry & Exit Requirements – Athletes and parents must review the entry requirements for the countries they plan to visit. Athletes and parents must also ensure they understand the requirements for returning to the UK or their respective countries.

EFC & FIE Licenses must be purchased via the BF membership platform. This is a requirement to enter international events. For more information, click here.

Passport expiration dates should be checked against any applicable requirements, such as those in some countries that require passports to be valid for at least six months after departure.
