Aiyenuro, Cadman, Morris, Usher and Willis were appointed by the European Fencing Confederation (EFC) Executive Committee to various EFC Commissions and Councils.
The EFC Executive Committee met on Friday 25th October to appoint Commission and Council members for the 2024-28 cycle.
Tom Cadman (Legal Commission) and Jon Willis (Competition Commission) were re-appointed to their respective commissions. Pat Aiyenuro (Equality and Diversity Commission), Carl Morris (Veterans Council) and Georgina Usher (Safeguarding Commission) were all appointed for the first time.
In total the EFC received 104 applications from 32 member federations for various Commission and Council positions for the 2024-2028 term. Each Commission Chairman evaluated and recommended candidates, which in turn were reviewed by the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee will also be inviting promising young candidates who applied but were not selected for Commissions to participate in working groups.
