EFC & FIE CALENDAR UPDATES 2024-25

GBR calendars were amended after publishing the final versions of the EFC calendars and changes to the FIE calendars.

BF added the following to the EFC calendar:

• EFC Fencing for Everyone Events (Juniors and U23s) updated.
• EFC Under 14 events added.
• EFC Under 17 events updated.
• EFC Under 23 events added.
• FIE Calendar events updated.

Please note the following updates in the calendar 2024-25:

• • Cadet Women’s and Men’s Epee competitions in Copenhagen (DEN) 7-8 December 2024; the date has changed to 30 November -1 December 2024
  • Cadet Men’s Foil competitions in Warsaw  (POL) from 5-6 October 2024 have changed to  28-29 September 2024.
  • Cadet Women’s and Men’s Sabre competitions in Sofia – the date has moved one week forward to 16-17 November 2024.
  • The EFC Fencing For Everyone foil event (C4) host city has been confirmed as Prague, Czech Republic.
  • EFC Fencing for Everyone event 1 in Sabre has moved to January to become the third event, the same weekend as the Boston JWC. The location is still to be confirmed. Boston JWC will likely be downgraded to a development event, subject to the confirmation of the EFC event and its location.
  • Dates for the European Under 23 Championships have moved forward to the 24th of April, 2025.
  • The Oslo FIE Satellite for Senior Women’s Epee has been removed from the calendar.
  • Several satellite events listed as TBC have been removed from the FIE calendar.
  • The Foil JWC held in the U.A.E in January 2025 will be hosted in Fujairah from 3 -4 January 2025.
  • The Senior Women’s Epee World Cup in the U.A.E will also be hosted in Fujairah from 8 -9 November 2024.
  • The senior women’s foil World Cup in Korea will be hosted in Busan.

The competition changes have been added to the BF Master Calendar.

Please note that changes may still occur. All calendars (FIE, EFC, and BF) will be subject to change, and in some cases, this may happen at very short notice due to circumstances outside of BF’s control.

General Reminders for all FIE & EFC events

FIE & EFC Licenses must be purchased via the BF membership platform. Participating in these events requires this. For more information, click here.

Passport expiration dates should be checked to ensure that the country the athletes are visiting will allow them to enter with a sufficient length.
