There are a number of organisations who provide resources to support those working in sport and Women in Sport is a great place to start. Check out their Research and Insight section on their website, where you will find a number of useful resources that look at everything from allyship to supporting disabled teenage girls to be active.
Visit the ‘Disability Fencing 101’ page for more information on what you can do in your club to support new and existing fencers. Our Accessible and Inclusive Venues resource will give you ideas and ways you can ensure your club is accessible and inclusive.
BF are currently working with Sporting Equals to be able to share a range of resources that will support ethnically diverse communities getting involved with and staying in fencing. We have provided information for event organisers as well as sharing learnings from projects such as Muslim Girls Fence.
We have some simple recommendations that will support your club in making sure transgender participants feel included and welcome, in a positive and non-judgmental space.
