BF Members are reminded that the 2021 Equality Survey has been sent by email. Here is the story so far as we gather a broader picture of the BF membership.
British Fencing is constantly trying to improve its services and look at new ways of encouraging people to get involved in the sport. We work closely with England Fencing, Northern Ireland Fencing, Scottish Fencing and Welsh Fencing in doing this.
To help us with this, we would be grateful if you could spend a few minutes completing the Equality Survey about yourself and your fencing. The survey has been sent to members via email and takes 5-10 minutes to complete. We can assure you that the information gathered will be confidential and any data gathered will ensure anonymity when it is published.
We encourage all members to complete the survey so we can know more about and represent the people who make our fencing community so vibrant and different.
So far, responses from ages 45-64 are the highest at 37%, with only 10% of responses from the 18-25 year age bracket. We would like to hear from members of all ages.
Responses from all weapons have been received, 31% Epee, 33% Foil and 29% sabre.
We encourage responses from across the Home Countries, and so far the responses vary with 79% England, 1% from Northern Ireland, 13% Scotland and 4% from Wales.
Currently, 35% of respondents identify as female.
Are you represented in the data yet? Complete the survey today, available in your email inbox.
