GB SELECTION FOR SENIOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013
British Fencing today announced the athletes selected to represent Great Britain at the Senior European Fencing Championships to be held in Zagreb, Croatia, 16th-21st June 2013.
The following athletes have been selected:-
Men’s Foil Individual and Team
Richard Kruse
James Davis
Keith Cook
Marcus Mepstead
Women’s Foil Individual
Sophie Troiano
Natalia Sheppard
Women’s Epee Individual
Corinna Lawrence
Men’s Sabre Individual and Team
James Honeybone
Alex Crutchett
Soji Aiyenuro
Note: A fourth member of the sabre team will be announced soon but will not fence in the individual event.
Speaking about the selections, British Fencing’s Performance Director said; “It’s great to be able to announce the team and get the final preparations under way with the selected athletes. The team is a good mix of experienced athletes and those who are attending their first senior major championship. I have great confidence that all of the athletes selected will now do their utmost to maximise their performances at the championships”
