From Blackheath Fencing Club:
Blackheath Fencing Club is seeking a Level 1, or higher, coach to teach primarily foil to juniors and to adult beginner classes from September 2022.
The post is for Tuesday evenings 6pm to 9.30 with a Thursday adult class 7.30 to 9.30 as an option. A Thursday junior class is also being considered to meet demand giving a potential seven hours a week coaching. There will also be opportunities to teach experienced fencers and support to achieve higher coaching levels.
You will be taking over from a current long term coach who is retiring and joining a team of three coaches, from Level 5 to Level 2, and report to our Lead Coach.
The club has over 40 experienced and new adults in all three weapons with 25 junior foilists and has been growing fast since Covid restrictions were lifted earlier in the year.
This is an ideal post for a new coach seeking experience or for an established coach looking for further opportunities. International coaches must have a UK work visa as we are unable to sponsor international coaches.
Details about the club can be found on our website and you are welcome to contact us for further information. Please send your fencing resumé to [email protected]. Phone: 07887 821443.
