New Commission Members Elected at FIE Congress
At the recent FIE Congress, held in Moscow, Russia, four British representatives were elected on to various Commissions.
Clare Halsted, Janet Huggins and Peter Jacobs were re-elected on to the Medical, S.E.M.I and Legal Commissions, respectively. In addition, Steve Higginson was elected on to the Rules Commission.
British Fencing would like to congratulate them. All positions were contested by a large number of highly qualified candidates. Their respective elections are a fitting reward for the massive amounts of time, energy and enthusiasm they put into the sport. It also ensures that Great Britain has a voice at the “top table” of world fencing.
