19th and 20th October 2024

This ADP Camp is by invitation only, and is focused on seniors and juniors. An ADP Camp for all members of the ADP will follow in the New Year. Please keep checking this page and Latest News as BF publishes updated guidance and information ahead of the camp.

Please note that the foil and sabre camps will take place in London, and the epee and wheelchair fencing camps will take place in Bath. Full details of the locations and timings on the day can be found below.

FOIL AND SABRE CAMP – LONDON

Arrival
Please arrive at the Leon Paul Fencing Centre after 12:30 in time for a 13:00 start on Saturday 19th October and after 09:00 in time for a 09:30 start on Sunday 20th October; please sign in on arrival. The address is of the Fencing Centre is:

EPEE AND WHEELCHAIR FENCING CAMPS – BATH

Arrival
For the epee camp, please arrive at the Sports Centre after 09:30 in time for a 10:00 start on Saturday, and after 09:00 for a 09:30 start on Sunday; please sign in on arrival.

For the wheelchair fencing camp, please arrive at the Sports Centre after 09:30 in time for a 10:00 each day; please sign in on arrival.

Accessible parking is available on site (What3words address: https://w3w.co////hunt.paid.prop). Past the electric car chargers on both the left and right. You will need to use the JustPark app to pay for parking unless you want to use the machines.

For the wheelchair fencing camp, please use the main entrance on arrival on the first day of the camp (https://w3w.co////slides.drove.oils). On the second morning, please arrive using the fire exits in the fencing salle (https://w3w.co////void.august.lofts).

Departure
Departure for the sabre camp will be from the same place at 18:00 on Saturday and 17:30 on Sunday; please sign out when you leave.

For the wheelchair fencing camp, please depart each day from the fire exits in the fencing salle at 17:00 each day (https://w3w.co////void.august.lofts); please sign out when you leave.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Food
You will need to bring lunch for the day. There are limited opportunities to buy food on site.

What you need
Please read the following and make sure you organise them early. This is your responsibility and not your parents’. If you are a parent reading this, please pass it on to your daughter or son.

PLEASE NOTE – all sparring sessions will be in full kit, including socks. The coaches won’t let you fence unless you are.

Essential

  • Full fencing kit. All must be in good condition and you should have at least 3 weapons and 2 body wires
  • Test and tool kit to maintain your fencing kit
  • Laptop/tablet so you can access your IADP
  • A thermometer
  • Sports kit for non-fencing activity. T-shirts, shorts, indoor running shoes/trainers
  • Suitable shoes for all your sports activities. You may need: indoor running or cross-training shoes, outdoor running shoes, fencing shoes
  • Named water bottle
  • Your training diary, a computer or tablet if your diary is in electronic format or online, computer or tablet if you are part of the DiSE programme
  • Your ADP tracksuit if you have one (please arrive wearing your tracksuit)
  • A waterproof jacket
  • Alarm clock, toiletries and a towel
  • Any essential medication
  • Mobile phone (please see the guidelines to the use of phones in the code of conduct you’ve agreed to)
  • Food. You will need to bring lunch each day

Desirable

  • Plasters and non-essential medication, e.g. paracetamol
  • Heart rate monitor

What not to bring

  • Unhealthy snack food

Filming

Please note there may be filming and photography at this these for BF purposes such as for the BF website and social media channels. Please let a member of staff know if there is any issue.
