INTRODUCTION TO COACHING FENCING: WHERE WILL THE NEXT COURSES BE?

These are the courses being planned for 2024, and there are more to come. Let us know where you want one.

If you have been thinking about getting into coaching, 2024 is the year for you to take the leap into a new way of experiencing fencing. Whether you want to give back to your community and support beginners, or if you dream of having a career as a coach, you will need to get qualified training to align your practice with the highest professional standards.

Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) is BF’s course that equips aspiring coaches with the skills to deliver beginner group sessions and teach the fundamentals of fencing. With a focus on the “how to coach” skills, discussions will guide you to understand and define your role as a coach, as well as how to always keep the fencer at the centre of what you do.

ABOUT THE ITCF COURSE

  • Suitable for candidates aged 18+ (16+ may be accepted, with a recommendation from their coach).
  • Minimum of 12 months fencing experience required.
  • Delivered over 2 full days or in a blended learning format.
  • Click here to read the course syllabus.
