Coach Tutor: Bob Bales

Course Dates: 16th February, 2nd, 23rd March, 6th April, 4th, 17th, 18th May 2014

Times: 11.00 – 5.00pm each day

Venue: Gosling Sports Park, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire AL8 6XE (click here for map).

Cost: £195.00 (one weapon only + £20.00 for additional assessment in another weapon)

British nationals aged 19+ who successfully complete the course (attending all days) will receive £100.00 back from their enrolment fee thanks to a funding partnership we are fortunate to have for this course with Sport Herts.

Includes BFA registration and Course Manual. Please note that this course does not include First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting of Children courses. Holding a recent First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting of Children are requirements of registration on the coach register. Entry Level Requirement. 1 year fencing experience. If you have been teaching Go Fence or Mini-fence and would like to make a transition to metal fencing, please discuss this with the course tutor prior to application.

Please note that candidates will need to enrol temporarily to Queen’s School to participate in this course.

Please note that candidates under the age of 18 will not be eligible to register as a coach and receive their qualification until they turn 18.

Applicants may be self-funding, or part or whole funded by their clubs and/or through their County Sports Partnership (Coach Development Officer) and/or through England Fencing (Development Grants).
