LEVEL ACCESS SURVEY 2023 OUT NOW

The Level Access Survey aims to support disabled participants by acquiring a better picture of the level of accessibility in clubs across the country.

Club admins and owners, please check your email inboxes: you will have received a request to complete our Level Access Survey by the 6th March 2023.

Here’s an introduction to the Level Access Survey by BF Inclusion Officer (Disability), Rick Rodgers:

Our Level Access Survey is designed so that BF can get a better picture of how clubs are currently working with disabled participants and what the general level of accessibility of our member clubs is like. The information received in this survey will then help BF to provide information to new disabled participants about where they can go to train, how accessible clubs are and where coaches are currently working with disabled participants. This information will also help us determine the best way to support more clubs to acquire the training and resources necessary to support and welcome disabled participants into the sport.

BF is being supported in collecting this data by the insight team at the Activity Alliance, the leading voice for disabled people in sport and physical activity. A summary report of the findings from this survey will be released after the information has been collected.

There are just over 20 questions, so completing the survey shouldn’t take more than 5 to 10 minutes. The more clubs who provide information – whether you currently have disabled fencers within your club or not – the better our insight will be and the more able we will be to direct disabled participants to opportunities in their local areas.

If you have any challenges filling this out, we will be answering questions at the Community Discussion event at midday on the 23rd of February.
