On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to report that British Fencing has attained the “Green” rating for its governance.  The new “Green” assessment reflects a great deal of work, and progressive change, over the last year.   This is of course a key aim of our “3G’ strategy; and it is critical to our funding from the National Lottery and public funds, via Sport England and UK Sport.

I must thank the Directors for their efforts; and as a Board we must thank in particular CEO Peter King and all his team, with special mention of David Moseley (Corporate Services) and Penny Moseley (Exec Assistant).

There is no standing still  –   these assessments get harder every year, but your Board is determined to maintain the high standards necessary, in all we do.
