Registered Coaches need to upload coaching certificates to be listed on the Coach Register. BF may be able to re-issue copies of lost certificates.
One of the requirements for coaches to be listed on the Coach Register is to hold a valid fencing coaching qualification. With the introduction of the new automated system that updates the Register through coaches’ Sport80 member accounts, the correct way to store certificates is by uploading them onto the Sport80 platform. This includes coaching certificates and any other certificates that are minimum requirements for the Coach Register.
If you are not currently listed on the Coach Register, one of the reasons could be that your coaching certificate is missing.
If you already have a copy of your certificates and would like some guidance on how to upload to Sport80 the following video might be useful:
If you have lost your coaching certificate, or if you have never received it, BF may be able to re-issue a new digital copy and upload it to Sport80 for you so that you meet the coach qualification requirement and have a copy stored safely for future reference.
Coaches must contact [email protected] to request a re-issued copy of your coaching certificate. Please note we can only produce copies of certificates originally issued by British Fencing or England Fencing from 2000 onwards. If you obtained your qualification from the British Academy of Fencing or other Fencing Governing Bodies, please contact these organisations.
