NEW TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SAFEGUARD BOOKINGS

We are updating the Terms and Conditions for SafeGuard bookings.

Due to the high demand for SafeGuard courses and the increasing number of last-minute cancellations and no-shows, we have decided to change our current Terms and Conditions policy. These changes are designed to give more participants the chance to attend and complete courses while helping us manage course availability more efficiently and maximise throughput.

Safeguard T&Cs, published on 11/10/2024: WELFARE COURSES TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2024/25

Bookings for British Fencing courses will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

PLEASE NOTE your booking will NOT be confirmed unless payment for the full amount has been received. Payment must be received before the commencement of the course.

Once your booking has been confirmed the following cancellation terms apply:
  • Within 14 days of placing your booking, and at least 10 days before the course start date: full refund.
  • Less than 10 days before the course start date: full fee is payable.
  • Non-attendance or partial attendance: full fee is payable.

Anyone who fails to attend the course without prior notice will be unable to rebook a course date for 2 months.

In the event that British Fencing must cancel or postpone a course for any reason, we will offer you a full refund of the amount paid or invite you to choose another available course/event. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of your cancellation request.

Requests to change your booking to another course will follow these terms:
Changes will be allowed depending on the availability of places in the new chosen course.

  • At least 11 days before the start date of the original course – changes are possible at no extra cost.
  • Within 10 days before the start date of the original course, days changes are not possible, only new bookings are allowed.

If the attendee submits a valid reason for their inability to attend, British Fencing will review the request and determine whether a refund is appropriate.

Please note that we operate from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00. If you place a last-minute booking for a course happening on the same weekend, we may not be able to accept your booking. For weekend courses, please ensure to book your spot at least two days before the course date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are no-shows an issue?

They cause delays to the start of the course, deny others an opportunity to attend and disrupt the course dynamic.

Why am I not allowed to change courses 10 days before the course?

Last minute changes make it difficult to refill courses, increases administrative workload and create additional challenges.

Your course contact will be the Worforce Development Team and any questions or queries about the course pre, during or post course should be made directly to [email protected]
